Avoided Spinal Surgery
In October of 2005, I found myself with severe neck pain due to an auto accident some years prior. I had been advised by a Neurosurgeon at Barrow Neurological Center in Phoenix to have four disc in my back removed, fused with a piece of hip bone and a metal plate put in. I did not want to do that. I decided to contact Dr. Shawn Tyson at Hands On Healthcare and he recommended his spinal decompression treatments.
I started my treatments in November with a pain level of 9 (on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the the most severe pain I can imagine). I had this pain most of the time and I was on heavy pain medication 24/7. Now, in March, my pain level is 0 about 95% of the time, and when I do have the pain, the level is never above 2 or 3. I am a firm believer in spinal decompression. The treatments are painless and the pain began to diminish after a few weeks of treatment. Hip Pain
I was referred to Hands On Healthcare by my M.D. and a good friend of mine who, along with her husband, has been under the care of Dr. Tyson for some time. I was having extreme low back and hip pain for over a month. I was bed-ridden and unable to walk or stand by myself without collapsing due to intense pain. A few adjustments into my care I was able to stand and walk under my own power, without intense pain. After two months I could walk without my walker around my complex, and I noticed that my posture was improved and I was pain-free. I heard all the stereotypes about Chiropractic but I refused to believe it. Thank God for Dr. Tyson, who showed me that anyone can get better and improve their health, no matter what their age. Headaches with Neck Pain
I met Dr. Tyson through a mutual friend and he invited me in for a spinal exam. I have had horrible migraines weekly for over 14 years. I was taking migraine medication almost daily. After doing my exam and taking the necessary x-rays, he showed me that my neck had a reversed curve. He explained that a reversed cervical curve places pressure not only on my spine, but also my spinal cord. Ouch! The sad thing is that I had been going to a local chiropractor for the past 12 years who recommended that I use a pillow and to keep taking my medication. To make a long story short, after treatment with Dr. Tyson, doing my adjustments and physical therapy, my migraines diminished to one every six months or less. Now my neck is curving the correct way and I feel great. Low back pain
Some years ago I sustained a serious neck and lower back injury due to a major auto accident. As a result of this my condition continued to worsen every year and the pain became excruciating. Since I began chiropractic care with Dr. Tyson my condition has continued to improve. The pain level has diminished by approximately 95% and I am now able to work and sleep at night without pain. Chronic pain
Chiropractic has been my primary health care since 1984. I was fortunate to be under chiropractic care for my numerous acute traumatic injuries, including a broken jaw and cheekbone in 1989. In the past seven months, since beginning chiropractic care at Hands On Healthcare, I have progressed from barely being able to move my back to being able to straighten and bend over, almost pain-free. Failed back surgery
After years of extreme pain and loss of physical ability I had undergone specialists, tests, physical therapy, MRIs, exercises and everything everyone suggested until I finally ended up at Barrows Neurological Institute. I was examined, and after more tests I had back surgery. That was in 2003. After surgery I was in chronic, debilitating pain, leading to depression, medication and many trips to the specialists, to no avail. I eventually decided that if anything was going to give me back my quality of life it had to be me. I went to Dr. Shawn Tyson at Hands On Healthcare for a consultation. I have been treated by Dr. Tyson for the last year and have recovered most of my strength and flexibility. The decompression system is beyond compare accompanied with the adjustments and exercise. Sciatic pain
Back in 1978, we moved onto a farm in NH. While cleaning out the second story garage, Gwenneth fell through a large hole in the floor that had been covered by a piece of cardboard. Headaches
For the past several years I have suffered from increasing migraine headaches, as many as 14 in ONE MONTH! I started treatment with Dr. Tyson in February of 2005 and gradually improved. Last month I had only 1 headache, and it was not even a migraine. I have also decreased my migraine medication from a dozen a month to only taking 3 to 4 each month. Spinal Pain
Going to Hands On Healthcare was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Before going, I had horrible back spasms. My neck and back hurt all the time, I even had to walk with a cane on some days because the pain would be so bad. I had numbness and tingling in my arms and hands. I finally had enough, so I called Hands On Healthcare. After just 2 or 3 visits, I was feeling great! The numbness and tingling was completely gone, and my neck and back pain seemed like a bad memory. I am still going to Hands On Healthcare because I want to stay at 100%. Disc Herniation
I had very severe lower back pain, caused by pressure on my sciatica nerve. I was taking pain pills for relief, but they were not helping at all. I decided to try the spinal decompression treatments at Hands On Healthcare. My first decompression session was a little bit uncomfortable, but I did feel some relief. Severe Low Back Pain
In September 2004 I began treatment with Dr. Shawn Tyson of Hands On Healthcare. At that time I was in continuous pain in my lower back and I had numbness in down my left leg. I could barely walk without a cane at times. I was not sure I would be able to continue to work or even be physically capable of working again. When arriving at Dr. Shawn’s office, I was greeted with caring concern from the Dr. and staff. Within months, I felt like I finally had my life back.
